Overview Job Title: Instructional Design Professional & Trainer

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Use Instruction Design Standards to produce Training Skill Targets, Objectives & Overall Definitions

Lead Discovery Sessions with subject matter experts (SME)

Build SkillChecklist based on SME input

Build Examinations based on SME input

Coach and help build course content for live instructor-led courses

Coach and help build course content for eLearning online content

Serve as the Training Leader for one of the following business functions: Quoting CAE Team; New Industrial Markets Team

Travel required: 10% for facility visits at any of 7 global factory locations

Promote and Elevate the Nexus Controls Internal Training Brand

Develop new technical training curriculums and content using Instruction Design techniques (i.e., ADDIE)

Drive continuous improvement feedback loop discussions to improve training

Net Promoter Score (NPS) and internal feedback surveys regarding training content

LMS content integration into the overall LMS Architecture: Create, Maintain, Manage

Effective student scheduling for live instructor classes

Effective eLearning content access & organization

Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) for Nexus controls business

Student registration process

Support Instructors on loading and managing Course Content and updates

Supports Instructional Designers in loading and managing course content and updates

Supports Training Coordinator when needed

Managing internal training requests for LMS enrollment and internal class alignment

Website Management & LMS Alignment

LMS is linked to Website

Manage Website content & training offerings updates and sustain

Instructional Designer for Services Responsibilities: Define and document learning objectives

Work with SMEs to determine content for trainings

Create/manage instructional material: Courses, curriculum, student guides or training manuals.

Generate the layout of the learning supports.

Design content to optimize learning.

Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner's needs.

Create visual, audio, and interactive learning tools.

System Administration

Create automated workflows to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

4-year degree, BS Chemistry, from an accredited university/college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years commercial experience)

10 years 2 years Industrial Design Experience: ADDIE experience preferred but other Instruction design standards acceptable.

Desired

Gas Turbine, Client Steam Turbine and BOP knowledge

Turbine Control engineering or services commissioning

Demonstrated communication & organizational skills

Soft Skills trainings or certifications

Proficiency with Excel, MS Office, MS Project Builder, Windows OS navigation

Strong interpersonal skills, team player

Technically communication & business acumen to drive overall solutions
