Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer

Pay From: $40.00 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer
3+ years of hands-on experience with Radio Frequency Engineering (preferably at the circuit board level)
Hands-on experience with RF measurement tools such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters
Familiarity with RF simulation tools, programming languages, and testing software
Strong understanding of RF principles, signal propagation, and antenna theory
Ability to document test plans, interpret complex results, and communicate findings clearly
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills for documenting results and collaborating with teams
Relevant certifications are a plus but not required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field is highly preferred
DUTIES:
Design and execute comprehensive test plans for RF components and systems, such as antennas, filters, and transceivers
Perform hands-on testing using specialized RF equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators
Measure and analyze key RF performance parameters like gain, return loss, and signal-to-noise ratio
Develop and implement automated test scripts and procedures to improve efficiency
Design and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and setups to ensure signal integrity and measurement accuracy
Analyze test data to identify trends, pinpoint failures, and determine the root cause of performance issues.
Debug EMI/EMC problems and optimize signal integrity in RF assemblies and systems
Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback and resolve technical concerns
Generate detailed test reports, summarizing methodologies, results, and recommendations for product improvement
Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, procedures, results, and equipment calibration
Operate, calibrate, and maintain specialized RF test equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements
Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements
