Overview

KBJR – Northern News Now in Duluth, MN, is looking for a versatile journalist to join our multi-platform newsroom and award-winning team as a news anchor. We are looking for someone who can do it all and relishes being a leader. In addition to anchoring duties on evening news, this position will include creating and delivering news content for digital, streaming, and social media platforms. We’re looking for a creative, experienced storyteller to find and share high-quality reports. A digital anchor will be responsible for covering live events and breaking news from the digital studio and must have the ability to ad-lib and adapt to live situations.

Responsibilities

• Anchor evening newscasts and create/deliver news content for digital, streaming, and social media platforms.
• Cover live events and breaking news from the digital studio; ad-lib and adapt to live situations.
• Develop high-quality reports and storytelling across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants embrace the multi-platform approach of today’s newsroom.
• Solid news judgment, strong writing skills, and proven ability to effectively communicate as a newscast anchor.
• This is not an entry-level position.
• Ideal candidate has reporting and anchoring experience and seeks to connect with the audience on a broader level.

Salary

$50,000 - $65,000/yr
