Art & Design Adjunct Pool in Animated Arts – Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. The Department of Art & Design invites applications for part-time adjunct positions in Animated Arts and related fields as part of a faculty adjunct pool.

Job Summary

Kutztown University enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a rural setting in Kutztown, PA, the University is near Allentown/Bethlehem, Reading, and the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks employees with experience working with diverse populations. Course load will be taught primarily in-person. If online teaching is offered, successful completion of the Teaching Online Certification Course through Kutztown University is required. We seek applicants committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Art & Design and across the university.

Courses requiring coverage include (but are not limited to): undergraduate courses in 3D Modeling, 2D Digital Animation, 3D Animation, Visual Development (Storyboarding/Character Design/Concept Art), and related courses.

Minimum Qualifications

• A MA or MFA degree in Animated Arts or a related area
• A strong professional portfolio of personal and student artwork
• Successful interview and demonstration of proficiency and ability to teach related software
• Teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent professional experience in the animation field

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in the given field
