Paramount+ is seeking a Makeup Artist - PT for KCAL News on KCBS/KCAL in Los Angeles. KCAL News on KCBS/KCAL, the CBS Owned & Operated Duopoly in Los Angeles, is looking for a talented Makeup Artist to work with our on-air teams. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.


Base pay range


$41.43/hr - $41.43/hr


Responsibilities



  • Experience doing professional makeup for television including close-up shots

  • Work at a fast pace and provide touch ups when needed

  • Should be able to do makeup fittings for newscasters and journalists

  • Makeup Artist who stays up on the latest advances in professional makeup practices and tools

  • Must practice safety standards and protocols, maintain a clean workstation and equipment

  • Must be able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends, stand for long periods of time, and work well with a team


Candidates Must Be Able To



  • Maintain strong people and communication skills in a competitive, pressurized environment

  • Work under intense deadline pressure

  • Must be available to work weekends, long hours or varying shifts when necessary to meet production and broadcast deadlines


Candidates Must Have



  • 5 years of professional makeup experience preferred

  • TV & Film experience a plus

  • Hiring Salary Range: $41.43 - 41.43

  • The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
