Overview

KCAL News on KCBS/KCAL, the CBS Owned & Operated Duopoly in Los Angeles, is looking for a talented Makeup Artist to work with our on-air teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional makeup for television, including close-up shots, and perform touch-ups as needed to maintain on-air appearance.
• Conduct makeup fittings for newscasters and journalists.
• Work at a fast pace while maintaining safety standards and a clean workstation and equipment.
• Collaborate with on-air teams to support production deadlines and broadcast requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience doing professional makeup for television including close-up shots.
• Makeup Artist who stays up on the latest advances in professional makeup practices and tools.
• 5 years of professional makeup experience preferred.
• TV & Film experience is a plus.

Additional Details

• Must be able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends; stand for long periods; and work well with a team.
• Candidates must maintain strong people and communication skills in a competitive, pressurized environment and work under intense deadline pressure.
• Must be available to work weekends, long hours, or varying shifts to meet production and broadcast deadlines.
