The Role

This Talent Acquisition Leader role oversees the community in an efficient and profitable manner by fostering satisfaction and well-being for residents and associates, in alignment with the company’s goals and community owners.

Key Requirements: The incumbent must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement with residents and the workforce.

Responsibilities

  • An Aptitude for Connecting — create a sense of community, build relationships with residents, staff, vendor partners, and regulatory/social services partners; collaborate to foster success for the organization and communities.
  • An Authentic Attitude — resolve resident and staff concerns professionally, utilizing resources across the organization.
  • An Positive and Professional Approach — practice active listening to ensure residents and staff feel seen, heard, and valued; aid in resolving challenges.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry
  • 2+ years of experience as a community/property manager
  • Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns, avoiding escalation
  • Proven effective and efficient leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Mixed Income and Tax Credit qualifications required
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Capacity to interact effectively with senior executives
  • Ability to work well under time and other constraints
  • Professional presentation and appearance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet and email

Key Accountabilities

  • Resident Relations + Customer Service — ensure a positive experience for the entire resident life-cycle from move-in to move-out
  • Implement systems to provide necessary services, acknowledge and promptly address complaints
  • Advocate for residents by communicating concerns to senior leadership
  • Serve as a resource center for residents on community-affecting matters
  • Responsible for resident events and retention programs
  • Refer residents to appropriate services and agencies as needed
  • Maintain secure, confidential files for each resident
  • Fiduciary responsibilities and regular review of the community budget
  • Produce financial growth through marketing and leasing activities
  • Manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals
  • Implement a system to achieve 0% rent delinquency
  • Prepare monthly reports and financials; assist in annual operating budget preparation
  • Submit subsidy vouchers when applicable; oversee large capital projects as needed
  • Staff leadership — supervise on-site operations, vendor relationships, and scheduling
  • Foster high-performing teamwork through feedback, training, and development
  • Ensure adherence to property management policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and other applicable laws

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Essential staff required to report to work and follow safety protocols
  • Frequent sitting and walking; travel within the region and to other offices/events
  • Repetitive computer usage; reading, writing, calculations, and verbal communication
  • Possible work on elevated or uneven surfaces; occasional bending and lifting
