Overview
Position: Librarian (Correctional Facility) – Permanent, Full Time
Location: Kings County, California (CSP Corcoran). Working in an in‑prison library setting. Telework: In Office.
Responsibilities
- Operate smaller or less complicated libraries and/or legal content access points within the institution.
- Perform professional work in selecting, cataloging, loaning, and providing reference use of books and other library materials and media formats.
- Maintain order and supervise incarcerated individuals who are accessing the recreation library and/or legal content contained in the print collection or the Law Library Electronic Delivery System (LLEDS).
Minimum Requirements
Minimum requirements are specified in the Class Specification for Librarian (Correctional Facility). Note: Completion of educational courses as specified in the Class Specification may be required.
