Job Summary/Description
Job Title: Media Executive
KBTX Media, A Gray Media Group station, is seeking a Media Executive to work with new advertisers to develop advertising solutions that help their business grow. This Media Executive candidate will be expected to prospect, close, and develop new business and build a client base. This role will be expected to achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly activity standards designed to help you develop your new business pipeline for your long-term revenue potential. The ideal candidate will possess high energy, self-motivation, a hunger for new challenges, and a strong work ethic. You don’t need media experience, but you do need to be a fast learner, have excellent communication & customer service skills, and have strong organizational and time management abilities. This is a new business development role and does not have an established book of business. Those with a hunter mentality, strong work ethic, and team player attitude will succeed in this role.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prospect new accounts and create new sales opportunities
- Build, present, close, and execute cross-platform advertising campaigns utilizing all of KBTX\'s broadcast and digital platforms
- Achieve revenue goals through new business development
- Meet weekly/monthly/quarterly activity standards designed to help you develop your new business pipeline
- Assist in the production of clients’ campaign elements
- Utilize the CRM daily to track activity, prospects, and update pending revenue
- On-going account maintenance and collections
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Television and/or digital advertising sales experience preferred but not required.
- Broad understanding of marketing strategies
- Self-starter with the ability to interact and influence others in a positive manner while working in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to formulate and execute a daily plan.
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized, able to handle multiple active clients at various stages of execution and development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Outlook
- Must have a properly insured personal vehicle, a clean driving record, and a valid driver\'s license.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience but will include salary and bonus potential and can grow to an uncapped commission structure
