PRAXIS Music Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students nationally for online PRAXIS Music tutoring. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys from home.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform (no commuting).
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Get matched with students who fit your teaching style and expertise.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.
• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand Instant Tutoring requests as available.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in PRAXIS Music and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay for ongoing sessions with the same student can reach up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Remote work via our Live Learning Platform.
• We handle payments; you simply invoice for your sessions.
