Join Varsity Tutors as a Photography Tutor and teach photography skills to students online through our Live Learning Platform.

Responsibilities

• Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Deliver 1-on-1 online tutoring and provide personalized instruction to individual students.
• Accept instant tutoring requests whenever you’re available.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; we handle payments and you receive compensation (up to twice per week).

What we look for in a tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Photography and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation and logistics

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you like.
• Tutor remotely using our platform—no commuting required.
• We handle the logistics—you just invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we take care of payments.
