Overview
We are looking for a motivated Visual Merchandising Trainee with 1–2 years of experience to support our VM team in maintaining Loewe’s brand standards and creating compelling in-store displays. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment, collaborating with multiple teams and contributing to brand initiatives. Location: New York City.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Visual Merchandiser in executing in-store displays, including windows, mannequins, and creative installations.
- Adapt displays based on the store’s layout, local needs, and current business trends, under guidance from the VM team.
- Participate in store walkthroughs to analyze displays and understand their impact on business results.
- Support cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Wholesale, Marketing, CRM, Store Planning) on brand initiatives such as store openings, pop-ups, and client events.
- Help organize and maintain visual areas, props, and display materials in stores.
- Communicate with the VM team regarding display updates, photographic requests, and feedback.
- Represent Loewe positively, demonstrating collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Visual Merchandising experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on display composition, balance, and color palette.
- Interest in fashion, design, and art; basic photography skills are a plus.
- Confident communicator, able to collaborate and problem-solve within a team.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $20 hourly. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
