As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to elementary school students.


• Accept on-demand tutoring requests and schedule sessions that fit your availability.


• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.


• Use the platform to deliver engaging instruction and tailor lessons to individual learning styles.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.


• Expertise in Elementary School Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.


• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.


• Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are a plus.

What We Offer

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour with the same student.
