Overview
Under the direction of the Chief Strategy Officer, the Senior Manager, District Marketing will serve as the lead liaison between the NC Dental Society and its five districts. This role will increase engagement across the state in consultation with the districts, identify areas for improved efficiency, and provide marketing and event support. Success will be measured primarily on increased engagement, recruitment, and/or retention of NC dentists. This is a hands-on leadership role where day-to-day direct operational involvement is required. The successful candidate will actively contribute to core deliverables while shaping long-term direction. Delegation is limited. This role demands ownership, strategic foresight, and execution in equal measures. The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thinking and data-driven decision making, easily builds trust and relationships with stakeholders, is an excellent communicator, an innovative thinker, and is willing to lead and contribute. Responsibilities
Build and maintain positive relationships with leaders from the five NC Dental Society districts. Provide consultative advice to help each district better serve its members. Develop and execute successful strategic initiatives to support the districts in leadership and membership growth. Independently plan and execute events, strategically, proactively, and with full ownership. Create content for various stakeholders in a variety of styles, including newsletter content, digital media, member-facing eblasts, and more. Be responsible for all aspects of marketing events, including creating registration sites, content development for emails, newsletters, social media, and quarterly print journal. Use platforms such as Cvent, Salesforce, and Pardot to create and market events. Work with graphic artists to create marketing collaterals. Collaborate with the Chief Governance and Operations Officer to ensure districts have the necessary resources to succeed. Lead and contribute. This is a working-manager role. This person will set strategy and implement it. Manage at least one direct report. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, events, or related field preferred. Minimum seven years marketing, public relations, and/or events. Self-starter who is creative and can work independently. Association management experience preferred. Business consulting experience is desirable. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Dynamic communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills. Team player who is willing to pinch hit when needed. Demonstrated knowledge of digital platforms including Pardot, Salesforce and Cvent. Up to 30 percent travel; most of which will be in North Carolina. Some nights and weekends are necessary.
