Overview
Director of Development and Communications role at LittleStar ABA Therapy. The Director will design and implement a comprehensive development and communication program to advance the mission and vision established by the CEO and Board of Directors. In collaboration with the CEO, this position will design and implement a structured fundraising program to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors including individuals, companies, foundations, and other non-billable sources. The role will also lead, coordinate, and implement all communication mediums for the organization. Responsibilities
Create and manage all social media platforms to promote LittleStar. Create a posting schedule with content creation and consistent deliverables. Work with leadership to produce annual reports that communicate impact to the community. Establish and monitor a donor database. Identify, research, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects including foundations, corporations, and family endowments. Create and oversee donor recognition systems. Manage reporting and tracking for internal planning, management needs, and external compliance requirements. Develop donor stewardship programs that inform and thank donors. Create collateral and direct mail related to stewardship (annual reports, etc.) and other fundraising materials. Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities. Develop and track annual development budget and goals. Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events and coordinate volunteer committees. Monitor and report progress of the development program. Create annual giving campaigns via mail, email, and social media. Ensure fundraising activities comply with applicable laws and regulations in collaboration with the CEO. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or Senior Leadership. Educational Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of 5 years of success in development or related sales activities; nonprofit experience preferred. Experience in expanding and cultivating donor relationships and leading successful campaigns. Ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships. Ability to work independently with initiative and to collaborate with others across levels. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities. Position operates in a professional office environment. May be eligible for telecommuting per organizational needs and supervisor’s discretion. Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Travel
Full-time position with core office hours 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; some evenings and weekends may be required for fundraising activities. Regular travel may be required, including overnight travel, within and outside Indiana. Conditions of Employment
Must pass a pre-employment background check. Must wear appropriate PPE where applicable as provided by LittleStar when physical distancing cannot be attained. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
