About the role
The Associate Director, Access Marketing Strategy and Experience, offers a unique opportunity to shape the access experience for an important launch and Takeda’s first commercial footprint in Dermatology. As a key member of the Dermatology brand team, you will lead strategies that establish perceptions of product access within the Dermatology community and enhance market access acumen across the commercial organization. You will define the access-intentional communications strategy, field readiness, and community engagement efforts that prepare Takeda to meet patient needs in plaque psoriasis, a highly managed and competitive therapeutic area. You will report to the Director, Head of Access Marketing.
Responsibilities
Lead promotional strategy for product access, with a primary focus on channels that engage with providers and provider entities
Lead marketing strategies supporting product trial and pre-prescription engagement
Set access-intentional learning objectives for market research, competitive intelligence and industry trend tracking that support access strategy
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
Manage product planning, development, and P&L activities in partnership with marketing counterparts
Manage creative agency to develop and distribute promotional materials
Set objectives, delegate tasks, and ensure operational success, with reviews by senior management
Influence organizational goals and policies through strategic marketing initiatives
Independently develop and communicate value propositions and business cases in routine and moderately complex situations with minimal guidance
Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills with a high level of influence and trust
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including coachability, receptiveness, responsiveness, and flexibility in interacting with internal and external collaborators
Field Readiness and Access Acumen
Lead marketing plan to upskill organization on access acumen, capabilities and market access environment
Lead and manage cross-functional teams to enhance performance and collaboration
Community Engagement
Lead access marketing engagement with external advisory groups and partner organizations
Influence organizational goals and maintain frequent communication with peers and customers
Required — Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required
8+ years of commercial biopharmaceutical experience, including substantial expertise in market access-related channels
2+ years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility, demonstrating progressive experience in marketing or sales within the biopharmaceutical industry
Experience leading strategic initiatives with enterprise-level visibility and impact
Experience in brand/product management, guiding brand positioning and partnering with field-based teams to deploy effective access communications
Fully independent in influencing others, capable of applying advanced techniques in complex situations and leading strategic initiatives
Independently applies managed care concepts in routine situations, with a comprehensive understanding of its principles and minimal guidance
Strong leadership skills with the ability to set direction, generate commitment, identify and resolve issues, and evaluate risk
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, with a proven ability to influence without authority
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills, learning agility, financial management, and budgeting capabilities
Willingness to travel to internal and external meetings and conferences (overnight stays may be required; weekend travel may be required)
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in business administration, pharmacy, or health economics
Experience in the Psoriasis (PsO) therapeutic market
New product launch experience
Direct experience working with US drug channel stakeholders (payers, PBMs, IDNs, GPOs)
In-depth knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement models and payer dynamics
The ideal candidate will be skilled in using AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation.

Compensation and Benefits Summary We are committed to equitable pay and transparency in pay practices. For location: USA - MA - Cambridge - Kendall Square - 500. U.S. base salary range: $153,600.00 - $241,340.00. The actual offer may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for incentives and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and well-being programs. Travel requirements may apply.
