Overview
Associate Director, Channel Marketing Grant Thornton is seeking an Associate Director, Channel Marketing to join the team. This role will lead firmwide marketing efforts for the Private Equity (PE) and Boards channels, shaping channel strategy, aligning stakeholders, and supporting high-impact campaigns that support national priorities.
Responsibilities
Lead strategic marketing efforts for the PE and Boards channels, ensuring alignment with firmwide priorities.
Translate priorities into marketing plans and calendars aligned with firm-wide objectives while addressing channel needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across industries, service lines, account teams, and national leadership to drive channel visibility and impact.
Work with campaign strategists to customize and activate channel-specific content and thought leadership.
Plan and oversee execution of 1st and 3rd party events and sponsorships to enhance brand presence and generate qualified leads.
Partner with Events & Sponsorships, Field Marketing, and Sales Enablement to ensure integrated, consistent client experiences.
Support the Head of Private Equity with marketing strategy and execution aligned to growth goals.
Maintain quality marketing data to measure and report on performance metrics that demonstrate impact and inform future strategy.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and inform strategies.
Manage channel-specific marketing budgets and timelines for efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
Coordinate with onshore/offshore team members to ensure seamless execution and consistent messaging.
Identify opportunities to repurpose or scale best-practice marketing approaches.
Serve as a liaison and provide marketing consultation to the Alliance channel; provide oversight and coaching to the Channel Marketing Manager.
Build a scalable marketing model that can expand to support additional channels as business needs evolve.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; MBA preferred.
10-15 years of proven experience in strategic marketing leadership, preferably in professional services or B2B environments.
Experience in channel marketing with a deep understanding of the Private Equity channel.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
Excellent written and verbal communication for creating compelling content and presentations.
Experience in complex, matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration.
Project management, critical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Collaborative, able to work within and through teams to achieve goals; trusted advisor to leadership and stakeholders.
Innovative and creative approach to developing work products and solving problems; committed to continuous learning and best practices.
Strong client service skills and ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
Metrics-driven mindset with strategic and creative problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a high-touch, fast-paced environment with real-time responsiveness.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn new tools quickly.
Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
Compensation The base salary ranges for this position vary by location and are listed below:
Chicago, IL; Downers Grove, IL; Baltimore, MD offices: $152,000 – $228,000 per year.
Washington, DC; Iselin, NJ; New York, NY offices: $164,200 – $246,200 per year.
