Develop and guide the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Enterprise Cryptographic services and solutions, including Encryption and Key & Certificate Management, in partnership with Product partners, customers, and other stakeholders Analyze threat, risk, and viability of cryptographic implementations across the tech stack (disk, volume, storage, databases, app-level, file-level, field-level, and portable devices) Analyze threat, risk, and viability of cryptographic implementations across key IaaS and SaaS providers engaged by Capital One Explore effectiveness and value of new Encryption, Key & Certificate Management technologies Provide subject matter expertise to shape Cryptographic Standards, Policies, and Procedures Communicate the delivery roadmap to technology teams Leverage technical knowledge of how systems work and how code is built to support engineering teams in delivering value Facilitate build vs. buy decisions to identify optimal strategies for addressing business and technology risks Maintain close ties to stakeholders, developers, and engineers across the company to ensure services meet their evolving needs Continuously engage with customers to seek and apply feedback Advise executive decision makers based on business and technology risk grounded in threat Maintain technical and risk credibility with your team and engineering partners across the enterprise Iterate quickly and drive products from development through production and scale Lead a portfolio of cryptography projects as a people leader of software engineers and managers to meet Cyber regulatory needs Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring other engineers Collaborate with leadership to deliver on high-level initiatives and influence strategy and roadmaps Engage with other senior product managers across teams to deliver comprehensive cryptography-enabled solutions Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead talent About You
You are passionate about protecting data confidentiality You have deep experience in Encryption, Key & Certificate Management as a Product Manager, Architect, or Engineer You understand important cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and implementations You have experience in Data at Rest and Data in Transit Encryption methods as a Product Manager, Architect, or Engineer You are familiar with transitions to Post-Quantum Cryptography and can steer the organization You have strong consulting and analytical skills You can foster collaborative, open working relationships with technology groups and stakeholders, including vendor relationships You have clear communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at multiple levels of an organization and influence leadership You have experience with high-visibility, high-impact cybersecurity projects with cross-functional teams, including planning, development, and management of technical requirements, design, testing, and deployment You have passion and expertise in data protection, data governance, or data loss prevention Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent At least 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity At least 5 years of experience in Cryptographic Services (Encryption, Key Management, Certificate Management) At least 5 years of experience in IT Delivery projects At least 2 years of experience in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications
