What You’ll Do...

This position is located in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles. The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time in-person internships. The summer 2026 internship is expected to begin on May 17, 2026.

We are seeking motivated, design-minded interns to join Landmark’s Summer UX Program, with a focus on building our UX Center of Excellence (COE). This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the foundations of how Landmark delivers user experience across its portfolio of cloud and on-premises applications. This internship is about more than producing screens — it’s about designing the way we design. Interns will work as a cross-functional UX team to research, document, and prototype the tools, patterns, and processes that will become the backbone of Landmark’s UX practice. You’ll contribute to a living design system, best-practice playbooks, and reusable design assets that will empower teams across the company.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Design System Development – Audit existing UI patterns, identify gaps, and contribute new components in Figma for Landmark’s enterprise design system.

Process & Standards Definition – Help document UX workflows, governance models, and design-to-development handoff practices for the COE.

UX Research Ops – Support the setup of research libraries, templates, and usability testing frameworks to scale user research across teams.

Accessibility & Inclusion – Contribute to accessibility guidelines and inclusive design standards.

Prototyping & Validation – Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate and test proposed patterns and processes.

Cross-Team Enablement – Work with product teams to validate thatCOE tools are practical, adoptable, and impactful.

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:

Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.

Passion for scaling design impact through systems and standards.

Curiosity to learn about enterprise software, data-rich workflows, and cloud platforms.

Desire to leave behind something tangible that teams will continue to use after the summer ends.

Desired Qualifications:

Enrolled in UX Design, HCI, Design Strategy, Psychology, or related field.

Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Miro) and interest in design systems.

Understanding of UX principles, enterprise application design, and accessibility.

Strong analytical and documentation skills — able to turn messy information into clear, shareable frameworks.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines.

What We Offer...

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

Corporate housing is provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.

Salary Range:

$26/hour for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; $31/hour for students pursuing a Master’s; $36/hour for those pursuing a PhD Please note that the pay information shown below is a general guide only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
