Job Description: The Head of Workforce IAM Authentication and Authorization is responsible for Product ownership of the sub-services within IAM; Authentication and Authorization including MFA, Directories and Federation. This role defines implementation plans for AuthN/Z Identity products. Drives deployment through in-house FTEs, Statements of Work, outsourcing deals.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required.
  • Leads product, engineering and support teams with a focus on:
  • Single Sign-On and MFA, identity Federation, directory integration including Active Directory, LDAP, Virtual Directories, certificate-based authentication and certificate management, authentication & Authorization for REST, Microservices, & SOAP, enterprise Standard and Procedure definition and implementation
  • Works with Governance, Risk, HR, and Enterprise Technology partners to develop AuthN/AuthZ strategy and technology roadmaps
  • Defines a target operating model and build Engineering, Build and Support functions
  • Develops and implements a talent strategy to retain/recruit appropriate skillset
  • Identifies, researches, evaluates, and implements emerging IAM technologies
  • Leverages Agile concepts for product delivery
  • Leverages WIAM VOC for product improvement
  • Leads the team responsible for configuration, installation and maintenance, in-depth troubleshooting tasks and documentation of any AuthN/Z activities
  • Manages IAM upgrade schedules, project funding and collaborating with vendors and partners
  • Leads Risk Management activities for AuthN/Z, addressing internal and external audit and Regulatory requests

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial crimes management, risk management, or compliance within the financial services or related industry
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a regulatory and risk-focused environment
  • In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, fraud detection, and prevention frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data and technology-driven solutions for risk management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skill
  • Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are a plus
