Learning Interns

TiER1 is looking for full-time Learning Interns with a strong interest in exploring a career in consultative organizational learning and instructional design. Candidates should:
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely,
- Be a full-time incoming senior, or advanced degree college student by the start of their internship, completing a related degree,
- Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas, particularly in writing,
- Be able to complete a 10-week+, 40-hour-a-week paid internship at our Cincinnati, Indianapolis or Pittsburgh office--within the next 12 months,
- Submit the following information: Completed application including your resume, work samples and ideal internship statement.
Help project teams with some of the following tasks:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions
- Create visual assets to be used in a variety of deliverables
- Create storyboards and animate motion graphics
- Critique and review visual design assets to ensure quality
What To Expect
- A paid internship
- Exposure to TiER1's broad consulting services and opportunities for connection with colleagues at all levels of TiER1
- Skill development related to organizational learning and instructional design
- A variety of challenging assignments with ample coaching and support from your own mentor
Application and Timeline
- Internships occur in the fall, spring, and summer. Application reviews and interviews typically occur in October, February and June. The timeline will depend on when you apply, but you will know if there are any next steps within a few weeks of submitting your application.
- We enjoy a combination of in-person and virtual work, with 50% or more of our time in our office or at a client site.
- This internship can be based in Cincinnati, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, or Indianapolis, IN. Please note that we do not provide room and board, except when we request that you travel (e.g., for onboarding). To achieve our mission, we seek to attract high performing consultants of varied backgrounds, creating a diverse, inclusive, and highly collaborative culture. TiER1 wants to create more space for students who experience socioeconomic challenges and could benefit from tuition and/or internship housing/transportation assistance. While TiER1 internships are open to everyone, our scholarships are intended for students who accept an internship with TiER1 Performance and who face serious financial hardship. TiER1 will offer a limited number of $2,500 scholarships that can be applied toward the student's tuition and/or housing/transportation during their TiER1 internship.
In order to be considered for a scholarship, candidates must:
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely,
- Read our scholarship statement and confirm they are experiencing financial hardship that threatens their education or internship opportunity,
- Submit a statement of how the financial assistance will be used and will help.
Scholarships are considered and communicated at the same time as internship opportunities. In other words, if you are awarded a scholarship this will be explained in an internship offer letter. Compensation for the internship is in addition to the $2,500 award.
