Overview
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania invites applications for part-time adjunct positions in the Department of Art & Design, within the College of Visual & Performing Arts. Courses available include Foundations (Intro to 2D and 3D design), Drawing, Painting, Time Based Media, Photography, Textiles & Materials Studies, Weaving, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, and related courses. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, faculty performance is evaluated based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities, continuing scholarly growth, and service. Course loads will be taught primarily in-person; online teaching, if offered, requires successful completion of the Teaching Online Certification Course through Kutztown University. Responsibilities
The department maintains an adjunct pool to cover undergraduate courses across Art & Design disciplines. Responsibilities may include teaching in-person (and online if applicable), contributing to a diverse academic environment, and fulfilling professional responsibilities as outlined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
- A MA or MFA degree in Art or a related area.
- A strong professional portfolio of personal artwork.
- A strong portfolio of student artwork.
- Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in the given field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful interview and demonstration of relevant abilities are required.
- Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in the given field.
