Overview
Senior Content Strategist role at Pearson. We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to help lead the planning and development of content on Pearson’s primary marketing and e-commerce website.
Responsibilities
- Write clear instructional UX copy and collaborate on content projects.
- Manage and govern content to ensure quality and brand consistency.
- Influence copy production and distribution aligned with tone of voice guidelines.
- Develop strategies to engage target audiences and meet business goals.
- Develop and execute content strategy for e-commerce initiatives.
- Establish KPIs to assess content effectiveness and iterate based on feedback.
- Collaborate with teams to align content with user experience objectives.
- Prioritize accessibility and inclusivity in all written materials.
- Tailor content development based on user personas and journey mapping.
- Understand localization and globalization principles for diverse markets.
- Have a general knowledge of SEO techniques and how they relate to marketing and ecommerce sites.
- Experience working with AI as a productivity tool and platform feature.
- Lead projects with confidence, empathy, quality, and efficiency.
- Take responsibility for content quality, process documentation, and on-time delivery of the team’s work.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture within the content team and across the larger experience team.
- Encourage exchange of learning, best practices and new ideas.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience with user-centric and immersive content through device-agnostic, data-driven content strategies, adaptive content models and standards.
- Proven experience in content strategy and content design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and copywriting experience.
- Experience with technical architecture and implementation of content components, platforms, frameworks and patterns.
- Experience designing content for digital products and websites.
- Experience using evidence, data and research to support decisions.
- Experience effectively managing many stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, attention to detail and multitasking.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience using content maps, content models, and site maps; familiarity with headless content strategies is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, Figma.
- Experience attending and assisting in research and usability testing, A/B or multivariate tests.
- Values teamwork and is a collaborative team player.
- Ability to approach content modeling processes and structured content organization within a headless environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. In compliance with applicable laws in various states, the pay range for this position is:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $115,000 - $125,000.
The position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Information on benefits offered is provided here.
