What You’ll Do

At NetDocuments, our Product Design team is a collaborative group of designers, researchers, and strategists dedicated to transforming how legal professionals work. We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher to lead research for our AI-powered solutions, shaping product direction with evidence-based insights. Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you’ll partner closely with design, product, and engineering leaders to ensure our AI experiences are intuitive, trustworthy, and impactful.

  • In partnership with management, identify and execute on opportunities to deliver measurable impact across multiple products and projects.
  • Influence and build bridges with cross-functional partners across an entire product/project by regularly and effectively advocating for an evidence-based point of view.
  • Work with designers, product managers, engineers, and others to guide decisions based on customer needs and expectations across the product development lifecycle.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous questions into concrete, appropriately scoped research plans and analyses that result in actionable recommendations.
  • Identify and advocate for user needs while balancing business needs.
  • Navigate competing priorities and adjust workload to ensure the most important tasks are conducted efficiently and on schedule.
  • Evaluate and improve research methods to deliver actionable insights faster, more effectively, and with more confidence with minimal guidance.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • 5-7+ years of experience in user research, preferably in a lead role.
  • Experience with research for AI products and/or major product redesigns.
  • Ability to turn research results into clear recommendations for product teams.
  • Proven experience with a wide range of research methodologies and understanding of when and how to apply them during the product development process, including coaching and scaling research practices.
  • Track record of balancing user needs with business impact and delivering quality while moving quickly.
  • Degree in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is: $110,000 - $135,000. The posted cash compensation includes on target earnings. Some roles may qualify for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are determined based on factors such as career level, skills, experience, geographic location, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
