About the Team
The Imaging team is responsible for tackling the most difficult problems involving computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data. The team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems across both hardware and software. Their products are deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies.
About the Job
We are seeking an ambitious Front End Software Engineer to help build robust and intuitive web frontends for a suite of Imaging systems, designed and manufactured at our Lexington, MA facility. This role will require engaging with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to design UIs that will be used in real world scenarios. These interfaces will be critical for operating these imaging systems, viewing outputs and assessing health.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new workflows and interfaces for our existing catalog of best-in-class optical and infrared sensors.
- Maintain and implement modular software, usable between multiple devices and built with a common design language.
- Triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution for bugs encountered by users in the field.
- Work on challenging, meaningful problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel expected approximately 10% of the time.
- Own software system success for assets deployed to customers and events.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical & critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Team-player, self-motivated, driven, organized.
- Proficient in developing front end components as well as backend familiarity (Node.js/Express) to debug API integration issues.
- Experience with Build Tools (Vite, nx).
- A strong desire to work on critical software that has real-world impact.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- UI/UX Awareness — can suggest small improvements without guidance.
- Nix Flakes familiarity — for local dev environments and reproducible builds.
- 3D/WebGL familiarity (Three.js, React Three Fiber).
Salary and Benefits
US Salary Range: $138,000 - $207,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
