The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online Business Writing tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $40.00/hr

The Varsity Tutors platform offers base contract rates starting at $18/hour and increasing for specialized subjects, with potential to earn more per session with the same student (up to $40/hour).

Responsibilities and platform

Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. You’ll be matched with students best suited to your teaching style and expertise. Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to help you save prep time and focus on teaching.

We handle logistics—you invoice for your tutoring sessions and we take care of payments. Get paid up to twice per week for the sessions you conduct and invoice.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Business Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.
