Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with thousands of students nationwide for online PSAT Writing Skills tutoring. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Tutor online using Varsity Tutors’ Live Learning Platform (no commuting required).
• Match with students best suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Deliver individualized instruction and adapt lessons to different learning styles.
• Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors manages payments.

Compensation and Schedule

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour with the same student over time.
• Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in PSAT Writing Skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Preference given to candidates with tutoring experience, teaching experience, or graduate-level education.
