This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. We are seeking a Lead User Experience Designer to work with the Lending and Credit Product Management team, contributing to the development of an end-to-end digital lending experience used by thousands of the most innovative companies in the U.S. and beyond. You will help to reimagine how SVB can optimize the lending portfolio management experience for our associates (and ultimately the credit product experience for our clients) while working with platform complexities and regulatory constraints. You will have the opportunity to deliver intuitive designs and detailed service blueprints that drive efficient business processes by conducting user research and validation and facilitating discovery workshops with users and stakeholders. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Developers and other Designers to lead the execution of high-quality UX/UI deliverables that contribute to the design of end-to-end user experiences that help our clients and associates accomplish their most challenging goals.

UX/UI Design:

Own the UX design process to deliver end-to-end flows and experiences within the nCino platform and UI design deliverables utilizing the Salesforce Lightning Design System. This includes service blueprints, wireframes, user journeys, dashboards and screen flows. Service Design:

Document the client experience, business processes and platform utilization in service blueprints that map out complex systems. Discover new opportunities to better address needs, goals, technological constraints and regulatory requirements. UX Research:

Facilitate and coordinate collaborative discovery engagements (e.g., interviews, surveys, etc.,) and workshops with partners, stakeholders and users to understand platform and process issues. Integrate UX Research insights into service blueprints and design deliverables. Collaboration:

Work closely with project teams and other stakeholders in the enhancement and implementation of strategic initiatives throughout the Lending and Credit Product Management team, the Enterprise Digital Design team, Silicon Valley Bank and First Citizens Bank. Communications:

Communicate, at varying levels of zoom to a diverse audience, design decisions and service solutions that address business goals, user needs and technology constraints. Guide design discussions that promote User-Centered Design and comply with Design Thinking best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience (preferred 8-10 years designing digital product experiences in an agile development environment). Required Qualifications Experience working with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) A portfolio including service design deliverables (e.g., service blueprints) A portfolio exemplifying a deep understanding of UX/UI and design principles to define user experiences through human-centered design solutions (e.g., flows, process maps, screens, prototypes, etc.,) Demonstrated knowledge of user research methodologies and best practices (e.g., personas, interviews, heuristics, etc.,) A portfolio with design deliverables that integrate user research (e.g., data, insights, etc.,) Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment (preferably in a highly-regulated industry) Exceptional knowledge of Figma for generating low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes Resiliency and soft skills to communicate respectfully when challenging assumptions and tactful style when receiving feedback, adapting work and designs to the needs and constraints of the business Proven presentation skills to communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of human-centered design process in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation and definition, UX/UI design and user research Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication and workshop facilitation skills to develop alignment with and between stakeholders to then execute on aligned roadmaps with quality and speed Preferred Qualifications Experience working with nCino Experience working in commercial lending Experience working in financial services Experience working within design systems or style guides The base pay for this position is generally between $118,300 and $183,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
