Summary/Objective
The Social Videographer is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and editing high-quality video content that aligns with brand strategy and campaign objectives across all social platforms. This role combines creative storytelling, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of branding to deliver visually compelling content that drives engagement, builds community, and enhances the company’s presence across digital channels.

Content Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with the creative, strategy, and client service teams to develop video concepts that align with campaign goals, target audiences, and brand guidelines.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions for social campaigns, activations, and integrated brand initiatives.
- Create storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Video Production & Filming
- Operate video, audio, and lighting equipment for in-studio and on-location shoots.
- Direct on-camera talent, ensuring brand voice and campaign tone are effectively conveyed.
- Capture a wide range of content formats (short-form social reels, behind-the-scenes clips, branded storytelling, testimonials, event coverage, etc.).
- Ensure all footage meets technical quality standards and is optimized for multiple platforms.
Post-Production & Editing
- Edit raw footage into engaging content that communicates key messages and elevates brand identity.
- Incorporate graphics, captions, sound design, and animation to optimize videos for social engagement.
- Format content for multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) and specifications unique to each social media platform.
- Apply brand guidelines consistently across all deliverables.
Campaign Execution & Branding Alignment
- Translate brand strategy into compelling visual narratives that resonate with audiences.
- Produce campaign launch videos, brand storytelling content, and promotional assets that reinforce campaign objectives.
- Partner with the digital team to ensure all video assets are optimized for performance (CTR, engagement, retention).
- Track and adjust creative execution based on analytics, performance data, and audience feedback.
Innovation & Trend Integration
- Monitor and adopt emerging video and social media trends (e.g., TikTok editing styles, trending audio, viral formats).
- Recommend innovative formats, tools, and techniques to keep content fresh and competitive.
- Serve as a resource for educating internal teams on best practices in social video storytelling.
Asset Management & Organization
- Maintain organized video libraries, project files, and archives for efficient reuse and repurposing.
- Manage usage rights, licensing, and approvals for music, footage, and graphics.
Cross-Functional & Client Support
- Partner with account teams to understand client expectations and deliverables.
- Provide video support for live events, brand activations, and internal initiatives.
- Deliver polished presentations of video work to internal stakeholders and clients.

Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- May oversee interns, production assistants, or freelance videographers when needed.
- Provide creative guidance to team members involved in video projects.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand standards and campaign guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in video production equipment (cameras, lighting, sound recording).
- Strong editing skills using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation for social content.
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, branding, and design aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and ability to use insights to optimize video content.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 2–4 years of experience producing and editing video content, ideally within an advertising agency, brand marketing team, or media production environment.
- Proven portfolio of social video work demonstrating branding and campaign execution.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (creative, digital, strategy, and account management).
Physical Demands
- Frequent movement within office, studio, and on-location environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up video production equipment (up to 25–40 lbs).
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching during shoots.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Prolonged use of computer and editing software requiring visual focus and manual dexterity.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours during campaign shoots, events, or deadlines.
Schedule Requirements
- Standard full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
- Flexibility to adjust hours based on campaign shoots, deadlines, or live events.
- Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when required for brand activations, productions, or special projects.
- Ability to travel locally or regionally for on-location shoots or client events as needed.
- Must be comfortable adjusting schedules to align with campaign launches, social posting calendars, and cross-time-zone collaborations.
