Position Summary

Senior Manager of Quality Assurance - Footwear at Walmart. At Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better. As a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, you will champion for our customers, ensuring that the products you work on meet high quality standards in stores and online. You will collaborate with designers, product developers, global sourcing associates, safety and compliance managers, merchants, and leadership to help Private Brand products consistently deliver exceptional quality and value.

As a trusted quality expert with a strong textile technical background, you will provide guidance to the team to develop capabilities and drive actions. You will leverage the scale and resources of the Walmart system to make a tangible impact on the business and customers worldwide, supported by a culture that equips you to excel. Your dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality will shape the success of our products and customer satisfaction.

What you\'ll do

We expect you to act as a quality leader across the product life cycle, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure quality, compliance, and customer value.

Responsibilities
  • Be an excellent business partner: work closely with Sourcing leaders and Merchants to create plans that contribute to strategy from supplier selection through to ensuring consistent quality for customers.
  • Build relationships: use influencing and leadership skills to partner with suppliers, internal stakeholders and other business partners.
  • Make decisions: determine textiles quality from supplier approval to clear specifications detailing requirements.
  • Design, develop, and launch products: work with Product Development and Sourcing teams to source the right product with consistent quality.
  • Know your category: understand customers and suppliers to anticipate next steps for the category.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, or related field and 4 years’ experience in training, quality, product development, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in training, quality, product development, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters or Doctoral degree in textiles, engineering, science, or a similar technical field. 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, product development, manufacturing, or related area. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) and expertise in statistical analyses or data visualization.
