Overview

Senior Manager of Quality Assurance – Footwear at Walmart. This role focuses on delivering high-quality Private Brand products for customers, collaborating with designers, product developers, sourcing, safety and compliance teams, merchants, and leadership. You will bring a strong textile technical background to guide the team and ensure products meet quality standards across store and online channels.

You’ll be supported by Walmart’s culture and resources to drive quality improvements that impact the business and customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Be an excellent business partner: work with Sourcing leaders and Merchants to create plans that contribute to strategy, including selecting suppliers and ensuring consistent quality for customers.
• Build relationships: use influencing and leadership skills to partner with suppliers, internal teams, and business partners.
• Make decisions: determine textiles quality from supplier approval to clear specifications detailing requirements.
• Design, develop, and launch products: collaborate with Product Development and Sourcing to source the right product with consistent quality.
• Know your category: understand customers and suppliers and anticipate next steps for the category.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, or related field and 4 years’ experience in training, quality, product development, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in training, quality, product development, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Business, Communications, Computer Engineering, or Education; Six Sigma certification; experience in assessing training programs and customer service in production/sales; ability to provide performance feedback and on-the-job training; supervisory experience.
