Women of the Vine & Spirits is hiring: Driver-CDL (PR) in San Antonio

Overview

Driver-CDL (PR) role at Women of the Vine & Spirits, operated through Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC). Location: San Antonio, TX.

This role focuses on the timely and safe delivery of products and professional customer service, with potential for non-cash payments collection as part of deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; note any defects and abide by DOT hours of service rules for the license type.
• Deliver invoiced products accurately by bottle, case, pallet, or hand-stack from the truck and place merchandise into the customer account.
• Verify receipt with the customer by checking product type and size against the invoice; obtain customer signature and collect payment if necessary.
• Maintain physical security of the delivery vehicle at all times.
• Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, with potential to deliver to up to 30 accounts during peak activity.
• Cover approximately 160 miles daily, with mileage increasing to 200–300 miles during peak activity or out-of-town routes.
• Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
• Provide feedback to transportation management on route changes or concerns.
• May use a smartphone for interaction with hours of service (HOS) software and driver monitoring programs.

What you bring to RNDC

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Current Class B CDL license required (Class A may be required for certain locations); ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Ability to obtain valid DOT medical certification and file appropriately with state Motor Vehicle Department.
• Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by state.
