Women of the Vine & Spirits is hiring: Driver-CDL (PR) in Lubbock

Overview

RNDC is a family-owned business and one of the nation's largest wine and spirits wholesalers. Location: Lubbock, TX. Summary: As a CDL Driver, you will help ensure the timely and safe delivery of products to customers and may collect non-cash payments as part of deliveries. Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and note any vehicle defects. Adhere to DOT hours of service rules for the license type.
• Drive potentially dedicated overnight routes.
• Deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet, or hand-stack from the delivery truck and place merchandise into the customer's account.
• Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the invoice, obtain customer signature, and collect payment if necessary.
• Maintain physical security of the truck at all times.
• Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily; may deliver up to 30 accounts during peak activity.
• Cover approximately 160 miles daily; miles may range from 200 to 300 during peak activity or out-of-town routes.
• Work with one or more helpers as needed.
• Provide feedback to transportation management on route changes or concerns.
• May use a smartphone for interaction with hours of service software or driver monitoring programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Current Class B CDL (Class A may be required for certain locations) and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Valid DOT medical certification card and ability to file appropriately with state DMV.
• Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state.
