Key Responsibilities
- Media/Influencer Relations and strong relationships with business, broadcast and influencer media; direct staff to develop these relationships.
- Engage and support efforts across social media channels; ongoing media engagement for the agency (e.g., blog Q&A, lunch talks).
- Measure the ROI of communications activities; manage PR programs from kickoff to goal achievement.
- Lead client service/management, set aggressive but achievable goals, and ensure exceptional client management and success.
- Manage through periods of change or challenge; communicate clearly amid crises or strong competition.
- Client communication and day-to-day contact; develop budgets and team priorities; identify opportunities to increase budget.
- Lead media training sessions with clients, including developing key messages and follow-up.
- Writing and editorial work: generate campaign plans, draft and edit press materials and related documents.
- Agency operations: supervise two direct reports, set goals, conduct reviews, participate in new business targets and pitch opportunities; maintain professional attitude and lead by example.
- Support teams and manage up and down; ensure respectful, enthusiastic collaboration.
- Use Highwire social channels; write for Highwire blog; mentor junior staff to elevate development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in PR/Account Management within technology, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams and programs, develop high-level strategy, and execute media/influencer campaigns with measurable impact.
- Rock-solid writing skills and deep knowledge of the technology industry; strong digital and social media proficiency.
- Strong media relationships and a track record of developing programs with business impact.
