Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is looking for a Technical Writer to join a dynamic team supporting the Army OSINT Office.

Candidates must be able to adapt in an exciting, dynamic operational environment while maintaining relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Write and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, and operational specifications to effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions to diverse audiences.
  • Acquire subject knowledge through interviews with product developers, observation of production methods, and reference to technical specifications, blueprints, and trade journals.
  • Oversee the preparation of illustrative materials, selecting appropriate drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts.
  • Conduct quality reviews of technical materials to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Translate complex data into user-friendly text for various print and electronic publications, including technical journals, user manuals, websites, and podcasts.
  • Gather information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff.
  • Develop cataloging systems and maintain records, files, and electronic media for publication archiving.
  • Assist in preparing materials for technical seminars and business forums and may participate in technical or business presentations as needed.
  • Select or recommend layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, and exhibits to enhance publication objectives.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • Advanced education (e.g., bachelor’s degree).
  • Typically, 10 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Proven experience in technical writing/editing, with a focus on complex technical documents.
  • Strong command of language and ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies and data interpretation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining cataloging systems for technical publications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master\'s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience in leading writing and editing production teams.
  • Knowledge of content and configuration management systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements in technical documentation.
  • Track record of developing innovative communication solutions for customers.
  • Awareness of emerging trends and technology in the writing industry.

Additional Information

Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized

The position is contingent upon program award.

Compensation

  • Base pay range: $105,000.00/yr - $131,000.00/yr
  • Summary Pay Range: $105,000 - $131,000
