Overview

Are you a technical writer that's passionate about creating useful and clear documentation Are you interested in cyber security and want to help secure the Navy's next-generation systems? Then come aboard AMERICAN SYSTEMS as our next Tech Writer!

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings, record minutes, and provide reports to project stakeholders
• Contribute to a cyber security team that supports submarine combat systems.
• Record, archive,and transmit minutes in accordance with program requirements
• Author documentation including reports, whitepapers, manuals, and other technical documentation
• Provide technical inputs to above documents

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to obtain higher clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 0-3 years of technical writing experience or equivalent experience supporting technical program documentation
• Presentation/briefing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills including networking, performance, and other system troubleshooting skills
• Excellent writing and review skills including spelling/punctuation/etc.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $47,300.00/Yr. - USD $78,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
