Overview

Communication Specialist, Social Media Content Designer, Full Time, Days at Jackson Health System. The role supports planning, development, and implementation of social media content to support Jackson Health System's media relations and branded content team, working closely with internal stakeholders within the system (such as doctors, nurses, leadership, administration, etc.) and external stakeholders (such as patients, community partners, etc.). The Jackson Health System is a fast-paced environment that is often changing. This hybrid role offers flexibility of working remotely, but requires consistent on-campus presence at different hospitals across the health system. Here, the Communications Specialist - Social Media Content Designer will handle social media content creation for the health system's events and activations. The ideal candidate must have excellent content creation skills, including filming, editing videos for digital platforms, copywriting, and graphic design. This position requires the ability to work in a collaborative environment, attend different events and activations across the health system, and capture and execute content using the Jackson Health System brand guidelines and voice. Responsibilities

Ability to film coverage for different social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube) at live events across Jackson Health System and hospital-related activities, patient-related activities at different hospitals within the system, and ability to communicate and coordinate with staff and patients to film and edit videos for social media platforms in a timely fashion. Ability to edit social media videos and reels with content provided by the team. Ability to research and jump on social media trends from ideation to filming, editing, and posting. Ability to work with system stakeholders and Jackson Health System communications team for content approval. Ability to write copy for social media posts, graphics, and videos across all platforms, working alongside the system's marketing/advertising agency. Ability to edit content calendar drafted by the system's marketing/advertising agency as necessary. Ability to keep track of and research new social media trends and audios. Ability to research target audiences and demographics per platform. Ability to research potential social media influencers and partners to collaborate with the Jackson Health System. Ability to design branded social media graphics for feed posts and stories using Jackson Health System brand guidelines. Must be able to create new templates as needed. Must be able to attend events or system-related activities and film, edit videos with branded guidelines, draft copy, and post to the Jackson Health System page in a timely fashion. Ability to brainstorm new ideas for social media content, such as new trends related to the health system and content highlighting the Jackson Health System team, equipment, technology, patients, etc. Ability to research and bring potential new social media/digital platforms to the team for review (such as Threads, Bluesky, etc.). Knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Proficient in social media editing applications and platforms, such as Capcut, Edits, Adobe Premier, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn. Strong writing and editing skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Experience

Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience working with digital marketing, social media, and content creation. Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred. Education

Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
