Worldwide Incentive Compensation (WWIC) is the team at Microsoft responsible for design, implementation and operations related to the sales and incentive plans across all of Microsoft, impacting more than 40,000 employees. The Seller Experience team within WWIC lands messages around key incentive compensation initiatives and ensures sellers have the information they need to understand their incentive compensation plans and opportunities for additional earning. As a Sales Compensation Manager - Communications, you will create detailed content for use by sellers and supporting functions, develop a deep understanding of the business, operations, and incentive plan structure, and partner with stakeholders to develop support communications, training, and content for sellers on incentive compensation plans.

Responsibilities
- Develops sales manager and seller training and readiness programs. Aligns programs with incentive compensation plans to launch Go-to-Market strategies.
- Develops communication plans in partnership with communication teams and business stakeholders. Delivers communications to sellers and internal stakeholders at scale.
- Creates externally facing presentations and digital content for sellers, business partners, sales leaders, and executives that explain incentive compensation plans and quota implications on plan performance.
- Authors clear communications to simplify complex business and technology topics related to incentive compensation. Crafts field content and messaging for field channels including direct emails, newsletters, and online resources.
- Maintains PowerPoint materials, and updates SharePoint document libraries and permissions as needed.
Program Management
- Holds accountability for running and managing ongoing programs within stakeholder groups, ensuring tasks are completed for timely submission and outcomes related to landed incentive compensation plans.
- Manages rhythm of the business (ROB) for landed features and coordinates with others to meet program requirements.
Qualifications
- Required/minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in compensation, business management and operations, finance and analytics, human resources and people analytics, marketing, or sales strategy or equivalent experience.
- Experience with developing and drafting business content.
- Additional or preferred qualifications: 3+ years in a matrixed organization (preferred in technology); 1+ year of project leadership/management; experience with Copilot or other AI technology.
Employment details
Sales Compensation IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro area: USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
