Job Summary: The Associate Director of Marketing Automation, Salesforce is a key leader within our Marketing Automation practice, responsible for guiding the design and execution of sophisticated, data-driven customer experiences on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic client leadership, ensuring our teams translate complex business requirements into powerful, personalized, and scalable marketing solutions. You will serve as a primary advisor to both clients and internal teams, championing the use of automation, AI, and seamless data integration to drive measurable results. As a leader and mentor, you will foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence within our Salesforce practice, driving the adoption of new features and methodologies to keep our clients at the forefront of digital marketing. This position requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about leveraging technology to build meaningful customer experiences and deliver value. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, complemented by experience in Data, Commerce, or Service Cloud to support integrated, end-to-end customer solutions. This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week in-office to facilitate collaboration and team development, with potential travel to client locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities: •Lead the strategic design and implementation of complex, multi-channel marketing automation programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Einstein AI features. •Serve as a primary technical and strategic advisor to clients, translating their business requirements into actionable solutions and ensuring project success and satisfaction. •Mentor and manage a team of marketing automation professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring the high-quality, efficient delivery of services across multiple client engagements. •Drive the continuous improvement of our marketing automation practice by establishing best practices, optimizing workflows, and championing the adoption of advanced platform capabilities. •Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to demonstrate business impact and ROI of Salesforce initiatives •Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT, Analytics, and Marketing teams •Lead proof of concept development and technical solution design for enterprise clients •Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. •6+ years of hands-on experience in marketing automation, with deep expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio). •3+ years of experience leading technical project teams in an agency or consulting environment. •Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and act as a strategic advisor on marketing technology solutions. •Experience with multi-channel journey orchestration, real-time personalization, and campaign execution. •Excellent project management and team leadership abilities •Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences •Hands-on experience with AMPScript, SQL, and/or Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS). Preferred Qualifications: •One or more Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Administrator, or Developer; Data Cloud). •Experience implementing AI-powered marketing features, such as Salesforce Einstein. •Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and agile software implementation methodologies. •A track record of leading teams through large-scale digital transformation or platform migration projects.
