Overview
Junior Web Developer/.Net Developer - (SECRET CLEARANCE) role at MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. Location: Patrick SFB, FL. Clearance: Secret. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers, Software Architects, Clients and other Application Developers in requirements gathering, analysis, design, and project planning for software application development. Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Perform moderately complex modification, testing, and debugging tasks on vendor supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with current operating environment. Design, code, and maintain complex applications to ensure applications are efficient and updated on a regular basis. Develop and implement web parts and customization of SharePoint sites leveraging Visual Studio and .NET technologies to include non-standard functionality. Implement new features and optimize existing functionality in applications based on business requirements. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews. Develop and implement test plans for new and existing applications/functionality based on requirements. Review and edit program and user documentation for applications developed within the department to ensure customer access to product is efficient and user-friendly. Develop and maintain project plans, requirements and design documents, and other system documentation. Develop and maintain work procedures and instructions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. Masters degree is desirable. Minimum of 5 years experience developing software applications with Microsoft Visual Studio. Current Security+ or CISSP certification or be able to obtain and maintain one of these certifications within 6 months of employment. Significant recent experience with the following:
.NET 4.x Framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET) Entity Framework AngularJS SQL Server 2008/2012 (T-SQL Query, Stored Procedure development and optimization) Team Foundation Server Web Services (RESTful or Web API), XML
Requires experience with defect tracking processes and tools, and with source code version control processes and tools Requires solid understanding of object-oriented programming in an n-tier architecture Requires significant recent experience with two or more of the following:
Windows Presentation Foundation SharePoint 2013 Service Oriented Architecture
Must possess the following qualities
Self-starter with desire for continuous learning and greater responsibility Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, diverse, and team-oriented environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines Ability to prioritize and deal with frequent change Ability to follow approved policies/guidelines Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind and optimistic response
Requires occasional adjusted work hours (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet important product delivery deadlines and to support launches Occasional local travel may be required Must have and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. Naturalization Valid U.S. drivers license is required All candidates selected will be subject to a security background investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements for access to classified information
College degrees must come from a school that is accredited in the discipline of the degree to be considered.
