ProSidian Seeks a Portland - VA VISN-20 | Court Reporter - Portland VA Medical Center to support an engagement for Government - Federal sector clients. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is America’s largest integrated health care system, serving enrolled Veterans at facilities nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
- Support requirements for assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience.
- Produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses; administer oaths as needed; ensure work products are thorough and compliant with criteria.
- Maintain professional demeanor, be punctual, and provide necessary equipment and materials.
- Be proficient in English to read portions of transcripts and clarify inaudible statements; experience with AIB, Equal Opportunity Hearings, MSPB, or arbitration hearings is preferred.
- Ensure duties are performed to meet milestones and delivery schedules.
Additional requirements include conformance with security and credentialing standards, travel as needed, and proximity to Portland VA Medical Center.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of court reporting experience.
- Certification as a National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent required; credentials must be provided within one week of request.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe; capable of using required technology and equipment.
- Ability to use a computer for email and general office tasks; technical proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Physical ability to perform duties (bend, lift up to 20 pounds, stand, walk, etc.).
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain necessary background investigations and security clearance as applicable.
