Job Description

ProSidian seeks a Phoenix - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter – Phoenix VA Health Care System headquartered near Phoenix VA Health Care System to support engagements for Government - Federal sector clients. The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity, serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

Responsibilities

  • This Non-Exempt | Contract Contingent position aligns with the Court Reporter Labor Category. Candidates should be able to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges and engage in productive dialogue targeting mission success. ProSidian team members provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
  • Support requirements for program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience; provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
  • Competent, efficient court reporter with appropriate equipment to produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony. Be punctual and present at relevant proceedings with a professional demeanor and deliver all required materials.
  • Proficiency in English to read portions of the transcript during proceedings; clarify inaudible statements if asked. Experience with Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) process, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB or arbitration hearings is preferred.
  • Administer oaths where required. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary. Maintain flexibility to accommodate client turn-around requests. Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, documented, and compliant with established criteria.
  • Conduct duties with high standards of ethical and business conduct and meet milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Qualifications

The Phoenix - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter position requires consecutive employment in a comparable role within the past five years, ability to use a computer for email, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools. Technical proficiency in English (speaking, understanding, reading, and writing) is required. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, lift up to 20 pounds, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least one year of court reporting experience and certification as National Court Reports Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or state/certification equivalent. Credentials must be provided within one week upon request. Travel may be required; location is Phoenix VA Health Care System.

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools; familiarity with Adobe and data analytics tools is a plus
  • Eligible for a Facility Access Authorization (employment authorization) by the USG Security Office
  • Background investigations may be required
