Job Description

ProSidian seeks a San Francisco - VA VISN-21 | Court Reporter for the San Francisco VA Health Care System to support an engagement for Government - Federal (USA) Sector Clients. The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities and serving 9 million enrolled veterans each year.

  • This non-exempt contract contingency position aligns with the Court Reporter labor category. Ideal candidates visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while engaging in productive dialogue to target mission success. ProSidian team members provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
  • Support requirements for assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience; provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
  • Candidates must be competent, efficient, and have the necessary training and education in court reporting, and bring equipment to produce accurate, timely, bound, and indexed transcribed testimony. Must be punctual, professional, and provide required equipment and materials.
  • Proficiency in English required to read portions of the transcript during proceedings; ability to clarify inaudible statements. Preferred experience includes the Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) process, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB, or arbitration hearings.
  • Responsible for administering oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary. Flexibility to accommodate turn-around requests. Work products must be thorough, accurate, and comply with criteria.
  • All employees shall conduct themselves with high ethical and professional standards and meet milestones/delivery schedules.

Qualifications

The candidate shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years, be able to use a computer to communicate via email, and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools. Technical proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) is required. Physical requirements include bending, lifting up to 20 pounds, and ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Credentialing: high school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of court reporting experience; NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent credentials. Credentials must be provided within one week upon client request. Travel may be required; work location is San Francisco VA Health Care System.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Publisher and Adobe is a plus.
  • Eligibility for Facility Access Authorization.

  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigations.
