Position: Audio Engineer Intern Frameshifts
Seeking a dedicated Audio Engineer Intern to produce studio-quality audio for Frameshifts. Youll ensure episodes meet high professional standards and deliver an engaging listener experience.

Responsibilities
- Audio Recording & Editing Capture, edit, and refine audio for clear, polished, professional-quality sound.
- Audio Enhancement Add music, intros/outros, and SFX while maintaining consistent show identity.
- Studio Setup & Optimization Arrive one hour before sessions to handle microphones, sound tests, and troubleshooting.
- Post-Production Processing Edit/process RAW audio to balance levels, reduce noise, and optimize clarity.
- Clip Creation Produce soundbites and audio clips for trailers, social, and promos.
- Collaborative Workflow Coordinate with videographer and producers for seamless audiovideo integration.
Additional Responsibilities
- Align with producers and hosts to maintain quality across episodes.
- Build sound design assets in Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or Descript.
- Research and apply podcast audio best practices.
- Document workflows: session settings, editing steps, and standards.
- Conduct final QC prior to publishing.
Requirements
- Audio Engineering & Editing Experience Portfolio with podcast or broadcast work.
- Software Pro Tools, Audacity, Adobe Audition, and/or Descript.
- Commitment Consistent schedule over 36 months, including early setup.
- Detail & Organization Strong file management and sound consistency.
- Team Orientation Collaborate with videographers, producers, and hosts.
Preferred Skills
- Creative Sound Design Thoughtful use of music and SFX to enhance narrative.
- Studio Fundamentals Mic setup, basic mixing, and troubleshooting.
