Volunteer Position: Multi- Media Content Creator/ Storyteller
Location: Remote/Hybrid - Orange County preferred for in-person shoots and events
Commitment: 5-10 hours/month (flexible; event-based and project-driven)

About Stand Up for Kids - Orange County:
Stand Up for Kids is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. The Orange County chapter has been serving vulnerable and at-risk youth ages 12-24 for over 20 years, providing mentorship, basic needs, education support, and access to housing resources. We empower young people to build brighter futures and ultimately break the cycle of youth homelessness.

Are you a skilled videographer, photographer, or multimedia creator who’s passionate about telling stories that matter? StandUp for Kids - Orange County is seeking a Content Creation Lead to help us elevate our brand presence and connect more deeply with supporters through powerful visual content.
This role is perfect for a creative professional who can help us plan, capture, and produce meaningful photos and videos for use at events, on our website, and across social media. Your work will directly support our mission to end youth homelessness by bringing the stories of our youth, volunteers, and impact to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Planning & Storytelling
Collaborate with our team to identify and storyboard content ideas that align with campaign goals and upcoming events.
Plan and execute photo and/or video shoots for key moments - such as community events, volunteer features, youth stories, and behind-the-scenes content.
Production & Editing
Capture high-quality video and photography footage (or work with interns/volunteers to direct on-site shooting).
Edit video and photo content for multiple formats, including website banners, short reels, social media posts, and donor presentations.
Ensure all content is branded, mission-aligned, and emotionally resonant.
Content Strategy Support
Help develop a visual content library we can pull from throughout the year.
Recommend best practices for asset organization, usage rights, and platform-specific formatting (e.g., Instagram vs. LinkedIn).
Optionally collaborate on short animated graphics or motion content if applicable.
Ideal Candidate:
3+ years of experience in video production, photography, or multimedia storytelling.
Skilled in filming, editing, and visual composition, with a strong creative eye.
Proficient in tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Canva, or similar.
Experience developing content for websites, social media, and live events.
Passionate about social impact and youth empowerment.
Organized, collaborative, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Must complete a half-day training and pass a background check ($18 fee)
