WORKFORCE CONSULTANT (UI Specialist) – State of Idaho
Location: Boise, ID. The UI Compliance Bureau has an exciting opportunity for a full-time UI Specialist (Workforce Consultant) who will administer and navigate Idaho's unemployment insurance tax and benefits programs. This position will work primarily in the UI tax division. Applications will be accepted through the posting end date at 4:59 PM MST. Responsibilities
Answer questions and provide assistance to business customers by phone and email. Provide customers with detailed and clear instructions on eligibility and regulatory requirements related to unemployment insurance tax filing, reporting, and payments. Conduct investigations and document information that is confidential and sensitive in nature. Determine and explain coverage for a variety of issues under the UI program. Issue written determinations and customer correspondence. Conduct daily activities using a variety of computer software applications. Minimum Qualifications
Experience conducting interviews and documenting information. Typically requires one year of experience OR six months of work experience conducting interviews and documenting information AND six credit hours of college coursework in which effective use of communications skills was clearly emphasized. Experience assisting emotional, difficult or confrontational people and individuals from varying socio/economic/cultural backgrounds. Typically requires one year of work experience assisting emotional, difficult or confrontational people. Experience determining and explaining eligibility or qualifications for programs and services. Typically requires at least six months of work experience determining eligibility or qualifications for programs and services. Experience preparing professional written communication. Typically requires six months of work experience preparing professional written communication, including the creation of letters and other correspondence OR six credit hours college coursework in related field. Experience using computer applications. Typically requires six months of experience using computer applications, including experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Benefits
