Overview AppFolio is seeking a Content Strategist to develop and lead new content programs. This role will spearhead the ideation, development, and execution of innovative content across formats (video, podcast, written, etc.) to support marketing objectives, target high-value prospect accounts, and support customer marketing growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered tools and SEO/AE0 strategies to optimize content for discoverability, engagement, and conversion, driving ROI. You will work with a talented marketing content team to transform our content strategy.
Responsibilities Innovate Content Program Strategy & Development: create and execute cutting-edge content strategies across channels (video, podcasts, webinars, etc.) to meet customer acquisition and growth objectives.
Own planning, production, and distribution of video, webinar, and podcast content, including managing external vendors and internal resources to ensure high-quality output.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to identify content opportunities and serve as an internal expert on emerging content trends and best practices.
Optimize Content for Maximum Engagement: contribute to content creation with compelling copy, edit content from contributors to maintain brand voice and quality.
Leverage AI-driven tools and advanced SEO strategies to enhance discoverability, engagement, and conversion pathways.
Track Content Program Impact: monitor performance using data analytics, identify areas for improvement, and iteratively refine strategies to achieve key results.
Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in content marketing.
Direct experience using AI tools for content development and distribution.
Proven experience developing and executing new content programs.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization best practices.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Strong ability to interpret data to measure content performance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits The compensation we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $114,400 - $143,000 [base pay]. The actual compensation will be determined by factors including skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Compensation is one aspect of a comprehensive Total Rewards package, and may include additional benefits or discretionary bonuses depending on role and employment type. Regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits.
