SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential functions of the job:
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, including the creation and customization of motion graphics templates to enhance visual storytelling across formats.
  • Edit with strong editorial judgment, independently selecting impactful soundbites, structuring narratives, and aligning with the producer's vision while maintaining journalistic integrity.
  • Convert video content into audio podcast formats, ensuring high production quality and consistency with brand voice and tone.
  • Adapt content across multiple formats and platforms, including vertical video, short-form social, and OTT, with sensitivity to platform algorithms and audience engagement trends.
  • Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and technical issues quickly, often stepping in as a resource for team members navigating software or workflow challenges.
  • Work efficiently under minimal supervision while consistently delivering polished, platform-optimized content on tight deadlines.
OTHER DUTIES:

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in digital media, film/TV Production, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on editing experience in a professional digital or media production environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in non-linear editing systems (AVID, Adobe Premiere, EDIUS).
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, After Effects, and third-party plugins is a plus.
  • Proven ability to edit high-quality content independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with Digital Asset Management systems and file-based workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Arabic language and culture is highly desirable.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under stress with accuracy and balance.
  • Knowledge of current International and US events.
  • Ability to accommodate flexible work schedule to support 24/7 news environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.


Note: This is a temporary position funded through September 30, 2025, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of future funding.
