We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling, clear, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate our mission, programs, goals, and impact.
- Work closely with the grant research team to align proposals with funder priorities.
- May be paired with a dedicated Grant Researcher to streamline the application process.
- Tell a powerful story and present information professionally to help drive funding for programs that support youth mentorship and education.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience writing grant proposals or similar content (academic, nonprofit, or professional writing).
- Familiarity with grant structures, requirements, and tone.
- Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with a research team.
Commitment
- Minimum commitment 6 months.
- Expected workload 5-6 hours per week, though actual time may vary depending on team workload and ongoing projects.
