The FCS Foundation is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 and located at 5204 Paylor Lane in Sarasota, Florida. The FCS Foundation assists cancer patients across the state of Florida. Because partner physicians cover overhead expenses, 100% of donations go directly toward paying essential non-medical living expenses for adults battling cancer.

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of patients who are struggling to pay for their daily living expenses while undergoing cancer treatment? The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation is looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers to assist our Client Services team virtually. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients applying for financial assistance. We request a three to six hours a week commitment for at least a 6 months.

These volunteers are helping to support our mission of supporting patients undergoing cancer treatment in the state of Florida with their non-medical financial needs.

Duties

• Answer and follow-up calls using Google Voice (Training & Set-up Provided)
• Assist with answering questions and communicating with patients applying for grant assistance
• Assist with written correspondence, letters, emails and other related correspondence

Requirements

• Volunteers must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• We cannot accommodate court-ordered community service
• Complete background check
